The Main Window
Use the main menu to access program dialogs and functions. The menu items are explained in the following chapters.
The tool bar buttons can be used for quick access to frequently used program functions. For more information see The Tool Bar. To hide or show the tool bar select View->View tool bar from the main menu.
The central part of the main window holds several child windows. In the here shown example the ephemeris table, the star chart, the XY-plot, and the 3D-viewer are shown. To manage the child windows Alcyone Ephemeris offers an intuitive docking concept. Each child window can be displayed floating or docked in various configurations. For more information see Docking Windows.
The status bar, on bottom of the main window, shows information on ephemeris settings. Click in the fields to change the corresponding ephemeris settings.
