The Time Control Window

Use the dockable Time Control Window to write and edit time control scripts. The editor offers the basic editing capabilities, syntax highlighting, and file handling.

To run a time control script press F9. If the script is executed successfully a new ephemeris calculation is started. If the script fails, the output panel , located below the editor field, will show error messages with numbered line references, which are generated for purposes of debugging. Double click an entry to go to the corresponding line of the script file.

Each Alcyone Ephemeris file contains a time control script. The script is loaded when a file is opened and (as long as it is not protected) generated automatically when the Time span dialog was used.

A contextual menu is assigned to the editor field. Right click on the editor field and the menu appears.
