Using Files
All program settings can be saved into or read from files. These files, which file extension is ‘ae’, contain information on the settings of the ephemeris, the settings of all child windows (plots, charts etc.), the time control script, the content of the memo , information on the view of all windows and others. Use the File menu to access the file functions:

Ctrl-O |
Opens an Alcyone Ephemeris file previously saved with all selected settings, and starts a new computation. |

Save |
Ctrl-S |
Saves all program settings. |

Reopen |
|
Offers a list of the last recently used files for opening. |

Templates Use templates (file extension aet) to save often used program settings as template files. To save the current program settings as a template file select select File->Save from the main menu (or press Ctrl-S) and Alcyone Ephemeris Template from the Files of type list. To read program settings from a template select File->New (from template) from the main menu and select a template file from the appearing Select template dialog. Click OK and a new calculation will start. |
